Investment & Risk Disclosures
Effective September 15, 2026
BareNaked Portfolios LLC is a financial publishing and educational subscription service. BareNaked Portfolios is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, custodian, bank, tax adviser, or legal adviser, and does not provide personalized investment advice.
1. General and impersonal information
BareNaked Portfolios content is general and impersonal. It is not based on your financial situation, goals, risk tolerance, account size, tax circumstances, time horizon, or liquidity needs, and we do not determine whether any security or strategy is suitable for you. You should not rely on the Platform as your sole basis for making investment decisions, and should consult qualified financial, legal, and tax professionals before acting. Your use of the Platform does not create an investment adviser-client, fiduciary, brokerage, financial-planning, legal, tax, or other professional relationship between you and BareNaked Portfolios.
2. No guarantee of results
Nothing on the Platform is a guarantee of investment results, profit, or loss avoidance. Past performance, historical data, rankings, BNP Scores, and prior portfolio results do not guarantee future results.
3. The Portfolios follow aggressive growth strategies
The Portfolios focus on stocks exhibiting strong relative strength — a measure of a stock’s performance versus the market — and leadership characteristics. Because they may be concentrated in market leaders, they can experience greater volatility than the broader market, with larger short-term swings and faster losses during corrections, sector rotations, or momentum reversals. Treat them as aggressive growth strategies, not core conservative allocations. Holdings, allocations, cash levels, and risk levels may change before they are displayed on the Platform or before Subscribers receive any related notice.
4. Momentum, concentration, and drawdown risk
Momentum and relative-strength strategies can work well during persistent trends but may underperform sharply when leadership rotates, volatility rises, or investors reduce risk. Stocks with strong relative strength may already reflect elevated expectations, and a change in sentiment can produce rapid declines. A portfolio focused on leaders may become concentrated in a small number of holdings or sectors, which amplifies the effect of adverse developments. A security can decline even if it previously had a high BNP Score. Position sizing, cash management, and sell discipline can reduce but cannot eliminate risk.
5. Trade timing and execution
You may see trades after they have already been executed in the Portfolios. Your trade prices, execution quality, commissions, tax consequences, liquidity, and position sizes may differ materially from those of the Portfolios. BareNaked Portfolios does not provide advance notice of trades for the purpose of enabling Subscribers to duplicate them. Do not assume you can duplicate trades at the same price or with the same results.
6. Data, pricing, and performance reporting
Market data, portfolio values, closing prices, rankings, and calculations may come from different third-party sources. Intraday values may use brokerage-sourced data, while end-of-day snapshots and historical calculations may use a separate market-data provider’s closing prices. Differences between sources — and between our displays and your broker — are expected and do not necessarily indicate an error. Performance information depends on assumptions about snapshot timing, cash flows, dividends, fees, and corporate actions, and unless expressly stated is unaudited and may be corrected or revised. Your individual results will differ.
7. Use of artificial intelligence
We may use artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies, including third-party services, to create, generate, or present parts of the Platform and its Content. Such Content is provided on an “as is” basis and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or otherwise unreliable, and may not be individually reviewed before it appears.
AI-assisted Content may contain errors or omissions and should not be relied upon without independent review.
AI does not make investment decisions on your behalf and does not provide personalized advice. Do not rely on AI-assisted Content as a statement of fact or as investment, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it.
8. Tax, legal, and personal suitability
BareNaked Portfolios does not provide tax or legal advice. You may face tax consequences from purchases, sales, gains, losses, wash sales, or dividends. Make investment decisions in consultation with appropriate professionals and based on your own circumstances.
9. Conflicts of interest
BareNaked Portfolios, its owners, members, employees, contractors, affiliates, and related persons may own, buy, sell, or otherwise trade securities discussed on the Platform. The Portfolios may hold positions in securities that appear in reports, rankings, Leaders lists, trade notices, or other Content.
BareNaked Portfolios may buy, sell, add to, trim, or exit a position before or after publishing Content about that security, subject to the trading policy below, and is not obligated to notify Subscribers before making portfolio changes. These activities may create conflicts of interest. You should not assume that any security discussed on the Platform is suitable for you, or that you can obtain the same prices, timing, or results.
One of BareNaked Portfolios’s owners also has an interest in a separate business that is an investment adviser registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That business and its clients may hold, buy, or sell securities that the Portfolios hold or that the Platform discusses, at different times and for different reasons. BareNaked Portfolios is a separate business: the Platform does not provide that adviser’s services, and its Content is not that adviser’s advice.
Trading policy
To limit these conflicts, BareNaked Portfolios follows these rules for the Portfolios and for any personal account, held directly or indirectly, of a person connected with BareNaked Portfolios that trades the same securities. A person connected with BareNaked Portfolios means any of its owners, members, employees, contractors, affiliates, or related persons.
- Trades come first. Portfolio trades are published after they are executed. BareNaked Portfolios does not trade the Portfolios based on what Subscribers do or are expected to do.
- Holding period. After publishing a purchase, BareNaked Portfolios does not sell or reduce that position for at least two full trading days. After publishing a sale, it does not buy the same security again for at least two full trading days.
- Exceptions. A suggested stop being reached, a trading halt, or a significant unexpected event may override the holding period. Any such trade is identified as an exception, with the reason, when it is published.
- Equal access. No person connected with BareNaked Portfolios, directly or indirectly, no family member or friend of such a person, and no Subscriber receives information about a Portfolio trade before it is published to Subscribers.
- No compensation from issuers. BareNaked Portfolios does not accept payment, securities, or other compensation from any company whose securities the Portfolios trade or the Platform discusses.
- No trading on another firm’s information. The Portfolios do not trade on knowledge of the upcoming recommendations or client orders of any other publication or adviser, including any business with which a person connected with BareNaked Portfolios is directly or indirectly associated.
This policy describes how BareNaked Portfolios operates. It is not a promise of any result, and it does not change the other disclosures on this page.
10. Suggested stops and risk levels
Suggested stops, risk levels, and review levels are reference points BareNaked Portfolios uses to evaluate the Portfolios. They are not automatic sell orders, guarantees of execution, or instructions for you to trade. A security may trade below a suggested stop before any action is taken, and BareNaked Portfolios may hold, reduce, sell, or adjust a position based on price action, closing levels, market conditions, liquidity, volatility, portfolio exposure, or other factors.
11. No monitoring of Subscriber accounts
BareNaked Portfolios does not monitor Subscriber accounts, holdings, trades, financial circumstances, tax situations, or investment objectives, and does not know whether any security, strategy, allocation, or risk level is appropriate for any Subscriber.
12. No duty to update
BareNaked Portfolios may update, revise, remove, or stop publishing any Content, ranking, score, stop level, report, or Portfolio information at any time. We are not obligated to update prior Content, correct all outdated information, or continue covering any security.
